Bengt Fredricksson sent me some links to check out for something similar to Emibas.

It is "Emigranten Populär 2006", available from Riksarkivet. Does anyone know if it contains the same info as the Emibas Cd or is it more recent emmigrations?

Emibas and Emigranten Populär 2006 has different sources.

In Emibas the soursces are from the the churchboks, Emigranten from the Poliskammaren at the harbour. When the emigrants left he/she had to show the ticket to the Police in the harbour they left from.

In Emibas you find the dates of birth and birthparish, who the familymembers are, from where they emigranted in the parish, page.

In Emigranten you only get how old the emigrant is, from which parish he/she emigrated, how many leaving on the same ticket and the destination.

Thanks so much for the information. I may have to purchase the Emigranten if that is all that is available now. I would love to find even a used copy of Emibas.
