Hi Diane -- Order his death certificate and it may have info on parents' names. .

Info at Ancestry.com puts Walter married to Angela Saucier with the children you name, but I can't find him at home with his parents before marriage. . maybe Ortego name badly misspelled, so it would be hard to find. .

Hi Diane -- Louisiana Secretary of State page also has a Arminas Jeansonne Ortego, b. 1861, d. 1927 --

Ancestry.com has a Walter Ortego living with widowed mother Armena Ortego in 1910 with sister Annette and brother Abbey. This may be Walter's mother and the death certificate may give info on HER parents. .

No info yet on Walter's dad, but I am still looking. .

I have just begun to investigate my family
and am not skilled with this website.
I was born April 1952.
When I was a little girl he was alive in Plaucheville.
I don't know exactly when he died.
I will go to the web address you provided and poke around.

Hi Diane -- don't lose heart and keep at it. . I have been at this for 10 years and just learned of the Death Certificate website a couple of weeks ago. . let me know what you find and we can see how closely related we are, LOL!
