This is just an introductory note to inform you of the Loyalist families whomt I have been researching--and need to continue to research.

My interest is especially in the Hare and Walker families who settled in what is present-day Lincoln county, Ontario following the Revolutionary War.

My wife is a descendant of Peter Hare, who served with Butler's Rangers during that war.  She is related to him through his daughter, Catharine Hare, who was married to Isaac Walker.

Isaac Walker died of disease during the War of 1812.  His father, William Walker, was a Loyalist who lost his properties in North Carolina because of his support for the Crown.

Yes--thanks very much.  I have seen that site and, to my surprise, have accessed on-line books of great interest to me.
