Interesting posting and the book also sounds interesting. I tried to click on the link that you gave, www.helium.... and the response was the article was no longer available. Is it available with a different link? BTY my haplo group is C1b1 but my heritage is Chippewa from the Sault, MI.
Hi there,
I'm new to all this. My mtDNA is A2f1a. I was adopted and have never known any of my back ground information. So this means I have Native in me. So cool. My question is how does everyone have so much information on their ancestry? Is there further testing that I can do to find out what tribe and where this grand parent came in? Anyone with information please feel free to contact me. Cheers.
Hi Jennifer,
I am also adopted and am trying to find relatives.I have found some but continue to search for more!! Information you have given about yourself suggests to me that we *might* be related. Do you have any non-identifying information about yourself (i.e. where were you born, do you know where your biological parents are from)?
Thanks
Tom
Hi Thomas
I guess I shouldn't have said I never knew any background because I do have some. I met my birth mother about 11 years ago. She was born in Sarnia, Ontario in 1951 and is also adopted. We know that her birth mother was born in Saskatchewan in 1931. She was of French Canadian descent and a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Hope that helps. I'm on 23andme if you or anyone wants to compare genomes.
Good luck with your search Thomas.
