OK, I know I am a hold out and still using 16, but it works for me - most of the time.

I just created a "tree" for a cousin's family and sent it without thoroughly checking it. As it turns out one of her grtanddaughters really looked it over and noticed that some of the info on some people , birth, death, marriage dates etc. ended up abreviated and scrambled.  I checked the family view pages and everything looked ok.

Anyone make a guess on what I did wrong?

Thanks,

Myo,

Please provide an example of what you are talking about.

Thank you,

Well this is kinda what it looks like, but it is more spread out on the chart. It is hard to cut and paste from a pdf file. This happened in several names.

Thanks

Myo,

Did you change the Font Type? This looks and sounds like a PC to Printer issue, or perhaps a Font problem.

Russ

only changed the size in the font, all the info on the individuals is the same.
What I am seeing is on the pdf file on the computer - before it is printed.

Myo,

PLEASE change the FONT, not the size of the Font.

Thank you,

Russ

Any suggestions what to change the font to?

It happened on one of the fan charts I saved as PDF files but not the other.

Myo,

So, is the problem ONLY in the PDF file? Do you see the same problem when printed?

What FONT are you using?

Russ

Yes it shows up on the PDF file on the computer and it showed up on the printed version.

I'm using Times New Roman, Name 10 point, other info 9 point. Boxes 3 inches , tree design is the hourglass  2 half circles.

Probably my best bet is to go back into FTM and reset the chart and see what happens.

Myo,

Please change the font within Family Tree Maker. NOT the size, but the Font.

Russ
