I'm willing to bet that's from Tanguay's Genealogical Dictionary as it's the same format as many of the listings I have for my own lines Michelle.  I'll look it up for you and see if I can find a better copy of the image.  It will take me about an hour.

Okay, faster than I thought :)

First I found this:
The listing for Pierre Lefebvre and Catherine Grignon lists Francois de Sales Lefebvre as their son, it was on pg. 270 of Volume 5, Section 1.

  These books work like a very long family tree, so Pierre was son of Pierre, his wife's father was Jacques Hamelin.  He has mother's names as well - You can access this collection from Ancestry.  I still advise looking up the documentation in original records to prove Tanguay's research because there are mistakes, sometimes dates, sometimes spelling, and sometimes information is just... More on the original documents.

And your copy but larger and easier to read - From page 281.

Thank you Jenn.  I've been wondering which I should "trust" more - Tanguay or Druin.  I've been having a hard time find the actual "original" documents.  Most of my family lines I've been able to find in Tanguay and its been hit and miss with Druin.  I've also been accessing Druin through Ancestry - don't know how reliable that is.

Michelle, it is indeed from Tanguay as Jenn said. I believe this is available free online. And like Jenn said Tanguay does contain errors, nothing is perfect.  Tanguay goes to approx. 1760, there were corrections made by Leboeuf. The "red" Drouin is marriages only for the same period and makes corrections and additions. When Jette's work came out it superseded Tanguay but only covered up to 1730.  The "blue" Drouin is a master marriage index, there are the films which can be purchased of the church records. Ft. Wayne, IN has it all, while the Archives of Michigan (I believe at least one of the F-C societies out East has at least the index also) has only the index (in both book form and microfiche).  The PRDH is also based on the church records, but it is not perfect and corrections are being made. In fact all the items mentioned are based on the church records, sometimes things are misinterpreted or misread, etc.  Drouin is available through Ancestry (there is a fee and apparently the images are not as good as Family Search), and of course they are available from Family Search.  Then there are the notary records for marriages which generally supplement the church records. All of these things have been mentioned in the links and "how to"  books which I have encouraged you to read. Technically, if Tanguay gives a full date and place it is probably correct.  Also see http://www.francogene.com/gfna/gfna/998/ which I have mentioned before, and incorporates some of the sources I have mentioned.  Denis' site is very well regarded.

Then there is the Loiselle marriage index which covers about 70% of Quebec and some adjacent areas, The Rivest marriage index which is alphabetical by bride only, both can be ordered from your local FHC. then there is the Fabien marriage index which as far as I know is only available at the Canadian Archives and covers the St. Lawrence seaway area.

For how to read Tanguay check out PERSI to find articles on how to interpret the listings I know our Society (French-Canadian Heritage Society of Michigan) did one and I believe I have seen articles by a couple of the other F-C societies in the US.  Good luck to all.

James, thank you for the information. I've been consuming what I can of the information you've been posting. Thank you for all your work. I'm still new to genealogywise and trying to figure out how to access all the great information everyone has posted. I'm hoping I can be as helpful to someone like all of you have been to me. Thanks again.
