Elkins from Henry, Va.

Hi,

I have researched the Elkins line starting with William Elkins who fought in the Rev War from Henry, Va. He married first Elizabeth East in Henry, Va. They moved to Oglethorpe County, Ga. sometime about 1793. Their first two or three children were born in Virginia, and the rest were born in Ga. Elizabeth died about 1810, and William remarried in 1814. He died in Oglethorpe County, Ga in 1829.

Many of his descendants moved to Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. Mostly around the Claiborne and Webster Parish area.

Does anyone know of other Elkins in or around the Henry County, Va area? I know there were a few, but have not been able to connect any with verification to my William Elkins.

I have a lot of information about the Elkins line once they were in Georgia and later in Louisiana that i would be glad to share.
