Doug - have you checked Virginia, North and South Carolina? In the 1700's the John Beverley line was in VA; he had a daughter, Sarah, who married John Washington Cox in NC. The Cox line is also linked to a Gambrell line in South Carolina. I haven't gone back further on the Gambrell line, but it could be that they all traveled from VA. Sometimes you can find the last names used as first or middle names later in time.

Thanks Carolyn, I have saw some things on the Beverly and Gambrell lines. I havn't been able to go there and look physically for myself. I was hoping there might be some descendants of Beverly or gambrel Cox on here. If you see someone that is connected to these lines please let me know.Thank you so much for responding.
