Searching for parents of John Jordan born 1764 and died 1850 in Pike, Wyoming Co, NY. Body
removed to Allegany Co, NY where he is buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Friendship, NY
He was married in 1785 to Julia Swartout (various spellings) who was born 1769 and died 1807.
She was daughter of Jacobus.
By 1800 John and family residing in Cherry Valley, Otsego Co, NY. He remained there until
1840 when he sold land and moved to Pike, NY to reside with his youngest daughter.

I have a Mary Jane Jordan but know little about her. Her birth year varies nearly 10 years depending on what record you're looking at. However, circa 1837 seems to be the most recurring. I have her living with her daughter Ella and son in law Charles Watts in 1915.
Mary Jane Jordan was married to George Washington Olivett and was widowed in 1890 when George was killed by his son in law, Arthur Pendergast. But I don't have any information on Mary's parents or siblings thus far. I am trying to locate her death record, hoping it will provide such info.
