Out of curiosity, what's your connection to the Hirst family? Its on my mom's side and I can only seem to trace it back to Ohio, not England, which why I ask.

I know this family!
We have a family legend... A medical doctor, Hans Walter Krebs (of Wattenwil *1847 +1925) was a cousin first grade of my gg grandfather Friedrich Krebs (of Oppligen *1834 in Oppligen, Bern, Switzerland - +1914 in Saint Louis, MO, U.S.)
Hans Walter Krebs is a descendent of Hans Krebs *1728, a Brother of Melchior Krebs *1740. An interesting family line, with two lines in America.
The problem... I found no proof for this relationship...

Sorry that I took so long to answer. I'm not sure about the Skinner's in that area. I do know that my Skinner's were in Putney, VT, Westmoreland, NH, Marblehead, MA, & Detroit, MI.

Your photos here are fantastic...love 'em!

I do not have very much information about the Krebs in my family, I believe that they are from Baden-Württemberg, Germany. I do have a Johann Bernhard Bardill who married Franciska Krebs, he was born 31 JAN 1851 in Jenaz, Graubünden, Switzerland.

I have some ideas about his parents, but nothing I have been able to prove. I even had a researcher try to find him with no success.

I am not sure. I have been unable to connect my Gottlibe Troxel to anyone in Switzerland at this time. Supposedly, he came from Frutigen'\.

Steven, As far as I know I don't have any SKINNER relatives in the Ontario area. I would be pleased to know of them, if so.

I am unaware of any of my Skinners being in the area of Niagra Falls. My Skinners were heavily in Arkansas and nearby Oklahoma.

I really do not know where the Skinners came from. I know they did settle in Pennsylvania. That is where my grandmother, Pearl Hannah Skinner was born. Actually in Wattsburg, Pa. (b.1884) She married Albert Millett in April of 1900. Her father was Henry Andicort Skinner.

I'm glad that you found information on them. Have you looked at the names on my page?

What other names have you connected to at Wattenwil or surrounding villages through the wives? There is good chance that we may connect on some of our lines.
