Hello Claire, My name is Allan Chilcott and I live in Sydney Australia. My ancestor James Chilcott was born in Weston, Bath in 1781. I wondered if you have any information about Chilcotts from Somerset at about that time. James was the son of James (senior) and his mother's name is believed to be Anne. James(junior) was convicted at Somerset assizes on the 31st March 1810 and sentenced to 14 years transportation. We have no information about James (senior) and Anne and would like too know about them and their family. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.
