My great grand aunt, Annie Smith, married a gentleman named Harold Nicolas Clarke. He was born around Liverpool, England in the approximate year of 1872. He died in Hong Kong 17 Aug 1904 and is buried there. I believe his father's name is Captain Michael Clarke, and an educated guess at his mom's name is Mary Clarke. He was second engineer on the Knight Companion that was lost of the Japanese coast. He survived and started an engineering consulting business in Hong Kong. That's when he married my great aunt.
I've been trying to find any piece of information about his family for a while and haven't had much luck...
In their wedding announcement it states his fathers name is Captain Clarke of Liverpool. I also have some other pieces that indicate Michael is the first name and that Mary might be his mother's name.
Any suggestions on where to look would be great.
Rob
