There are so many of this name that it's very hard to pin-point our individual family.
But.... just in case we happen to match ... or in case we can be of assistance to each other:
Patrick Maguire was born in Drumgawny Bartin (which was probably Drumgownah) in about 1815. His father was Philip who is shown on Griffith Valuations as being at that address in 1832. Patrick's mother was Catherine Hearne.
Patrick's religion was Church of Ireland when he married Ann Noble in Templecarne Parish (Pettigo) in 1845, but I often wonder if his father may have been Catholic (as were most Maguire's).
There was also a Charles Maguire living in the same townland of "Drumgawny Bartin" as Phillip in 1832 and I have often wondered if they were all related as families tended to live close in the same areas. I often wonder if he may have been Philip's brother / or even Patrick's older brother.
Not sure if any of this is of help or whether you can find a "connection" as I have such little information despite many years of searching for his family - to no avail.
