My gleason are mainly from Amherstburg Essex Ont, Canada. and then came to michigan. They were mariners on the great lakes. I have we will say 4 times great grandfather that disappeared in 1861 he is on canadian census and his last child is born. 1867 or so and he does not appear with the family in 1871.
