Glad to join!  My great-grandfather August Andreason (b. 1871-01-22) was born to Andreas Svensson (b. 1834-06-26) and Johanna Nilsdotter (b. 1836-12-06) in Åsaka in Lekåsa parish. He was one of 7 children (others were Anna Kristina, Mathilda, Ida Kristina, Svante, Beda and Johan Aron).  The specific place of his birth is listed as Svenstorps Rote Stora Flättorp.  Is this a particular farm?  August ultimately emigrated to the US and changed his last name to Swanson. Does anyone have information about the siblings who may have remained in Sweden, or about the family in general, or the farm?  Thank you !

I am trying to locate some additional information on my great-great-grandparents from Skaraborg.  Currently I have the following information.

Anders Magnusson (born: 31Oct1806 in Flistad, died: 27Mar1899 in Bällefors) and Beata Ericsdotter (born: 20Oct1806 in Bällefors, died: 5May1889 in Bällefors)

I have not been able to locate a marriage record for Anders and Beata or where they are buried, nor have I been able to identify the parents or siblings of Anders.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to locate a farm in Fröjered Parish named Svinabäcken.  I believe the buildings are no longer standing.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for letting me join.  I have a Charles (Carl) Widen, born 3/26/1856 in Bellefors forsl Skarab(org)? according to the Lutheran Swedish American church records.  I have questions as to his parents - unable to find Widens. I do have a Johannes Anderson and Katarina as his parents, but I am not sure of this.  Any help would be appreciated.

Glad to join.  Some of my relatives came from the Järpås and Levine areas.  Paternal surname of Fahlstöm came into being in 1700's.  Nils Svensson Fahlström was born in 1748, but I have not been able to confirm that due to bad handwriting in the parish records and not sure of exactly which parish.  He was a dragoon and died 21 Oct 1816. I was able to get a copy of his military records. I have not yet extensively researched his wife, Stina Nilsdotter, born in 1753.

I can see that some members discussed Svante and Alfred Wernhoff and their parents and brothers and sisters. If there is someone who wants to continue this discussion I have som more data!

Svante Andersson Wernhoff (8:29). Born 1858-11-07 i Kartegården Krono, Bitterna (R). Died i US.

Klara Andersdotter (8:30). Born 1861-01-16 i Kartegården Krono, Bitterna (R). Died in Canada. .

Thilda Andersdotter (8:31). Born 1862-11-06 i Kartegården Krono Bitterna, Bitterna (R). Died 1919-04-21 in Trollhättan (P).

Alfred Andersson Wernhoff (8:32). Born 1865-03-05 i Långöholm Bitterna, Bitterna (R). Died 1928-03-30 Brockton, Massachusetts, USA.

Karl Andersson (8:33). Died 1867-04-06 i Långöholm Bitterna, Bitterna (R). Born 1867-04-04 i Långöholm Bitterna, Bitterna (R).

Karl Andersson Wernhoff (8:34). Died 1956-09-11 i Öxnered (P). Born 1870-08-28 i Långöholm, Bitterna (R). Se tabell 14, s .

Emma Josefina Andersdotter (8:1). Born 1873-07-28 i Långöholm Bitterna, Bitterna (R). Died 1965-12-27 i Assmunds Ingelsgården (same farm as Hjeltagården), Bitterna (R).

I am looking for the location of two farms in Fägre Parish:  Harstensmossen and Stanbacken.  I plan to visit them.   Please advise.
