JewishGen, like Yad Vashem, is more focused on the Jewish victims, but they also have a lot of names of non-Jews who perished. However, you need to at least know some names to begin your search. I assume from your question that your father is no longer alive. Is there anyone else who knows anything? Do you have a town name? Depending on a lot of variables, it might be easy or nigh impossible to recreate family information. Although many victims were well documented by the Germans and their collaborators themselves, many were not.

While Yad Vashem focused on Jewish names, they are trying to collect all the names. Try this URL or just www.yadvashem.org http://www1.yadvashem.org/yv/en/about/archive/information_services_...

I have a question I know Jewish Gen has a database of holocoust victims, but are they ALL holocaust victims or just the Jewish people. I am looking for my Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles who I THINK perished in the atrocities - but I have no idea where to start. Dad did not know his parents dates of births and would never talk about his family (he was taken from his village by the Germans), can ANYONE tell me where to look to find their names????

Looking for Johannes Ludwig Wasser... later changed to Devasier. He came to America from Germany prior to the Rev. War as a stoweaway on a ship and worked off his voayage with a doctor and was trained as one. He was at Valley Forge during the battle.
