Hi, cousins! :) I found out recently I belong to this group. My ancestry is very different from what one would expect in this group. My maternal side is all Calabrian, as far as we know.

I recently received my mtDNA results from 23andme and fall into C5b1. My family ancestry is all Polish (as far as I know).

It seems that this particular type is very rare outside Slavic Europe though its ultimate origin is in Asia.
