I had seen mention of David Skeeters in Illinois, but I didn't know if it was the same man. Did the 1855 census give the wife's name? In 1850, 1860 and 1870 David and Catherine were listed in living in Parke Co., IN. Did James and his sons move permanently to IL? I could see how they would move with the family. Then for some reason they moved back. Thank you very much for contacting me.
