Hi Mary Ellen.  My name is Jeff Stewart.  I'm taking courses through the National Institute of Genealogical Studies towards their American Records certification.  I noticed that one of the surnames that you listed was Creasey.   My father and mother were from the Dyersburg and Lake County area and I recall my father talking about a J.R. Creasey that was a close friend of his in his youth.  Are you any relation to a J.R. Creasey?

Thanks for the comment about my dog, Stormy. Unfortunately he passed away Labor Day morning. He was something else. He came to  me from the SPCA and I had him for 3 years.  He had been abandoned and abused.  108 pounds of muscle and golden retriever. The picture shows us in front of the Farnsworth House in Gettysburg. I am wearing my "work clothes" (I am a tour guide at the Farnsworth) He touched a lot of people's hearts and his spirit lives on.

Definitely worth checking out--there have been references to John Hall and Zilpha Crooker as being from Scituate and Marshfield.  I know they were from Marshfield, but I'm not certain about the Scituate.  We have so many John Halls!  Would be great if our John Hall is the Scituate family.

Hi Mary Ellen,  Thank you for telling me about this site.  I noticed some Libby and Stevens families in Knox, Waldo County.  There were Stevens families in Marshfield, also.  Interesting how fast the old families spread out to occupy the entire frontier area.  Morreen
