You did everything correct, sorry you didn't get my reply. The Gay group is already created and you can find it here http://www.genealogywise.com/group/gaysurname and the Thompson group can be found at http://www.genealogywise.com/group/thompsongenealogy. I do leave replies but sometimes I guess I delete the conversation too soon, I just get so many that I have to delete or else it gets carried away. Hope this helps with your Gay and Thompson groups.
