Gates was my married name and my ex-husband's name is John Charles GATES who was born in Birmingham, AL to Charles Edwin and Sarah Margaret (maiden: DYE) GATES.
REEVES is another one of my family lines. I can say that I have a William REEVES in the family line as well as a John, Joseph and many others. At this point I cannot prove that your line flows into mine. Perhaps with more research and information, I shall be able to locate you on the family line.
