So did any of your ancestors come over on the Winthrop Fleet? I have several aboard "The Mary and John" - 1630 crossing to Dorchester Mass. Many later followed a minister to found Windsor CT.
Federation of Genealogical Societies is FGS - in 2012 met in Birmingham AL, in 2013 in Fort Wayne IN - hope at attend. My main SMITH line comes from England (Buckinghamshire) to Toronto, Ontario (1870s) to Detroit, Michigan (1900s) My TAYLOR line married into it in Toronto.
My great aunt Henrietta Dabney married Rev Richard V Sims. He accepted the assignment in New Iberia, Louisiana. It is a small Church and not listed on Line. I like to find out about the Church and publish it on line if possible. Emiko
Ha! McKain, McCain, McKane, McKeen, McCann and probablyl a few others! :-) We have traced things back to Ulster - Antrim - Donegal areas of Northern Ireland - possibly over into Scotland through Y-DNA. Research continues! Keith
