Hello! I saw your comment a while back on Genealogy.com about Nathaniel Packard and Lydia Smith,as your 8th great grandparents.I mention it because I run a Packard family history blog as a Packard descendant via Samuel-Zaccheus-John-Barnabas I-Barnabas II-Barnabas III-William Henry-Cyrus Winfield Packard, and am looking for contributors. Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks for that Sally. Unfortunately it seems your husband's ancestry may be differernet from mine in that case. From information given by my father all I know is that his Pavia's came from southern Italy, Bari, I believe. They emigrated to America at some point (not sure when exactly) and mainly settled in New York and Pittsburgh. There do appear to be Pavia's all over the world and from many and varied origins. Perhaps it is a fairly common name, like smith or Jones, lol. Thank you again for the info though. Much appreciated.
