I am trying to find my father's birth place. I dont have a BC - but his death certificate gave it as Glasgow.Growing up we all thought he was from Caithness. He was born in 1883 and died in 1952.he was in the Royal Field Artillery during WW1 His name was Douglas John Lauchlan.He married my mother Louisa Winchester in 1915 in London and it gives his father's name as John Lauchlan I have reached a stalemate and would welcome any and all the suggestions you can offer.
