From extensive reading, I've learned Hap group I and I1a appear 25k years ago after the last glacial maximum and migrated north from the Balkans. Iberia. Italian pensula and England to the Baltic, at that time the Baltic was s Sea and Doggerland existed between Englsnd and Europe. A glacial meltdown in North America sent a tidal wAve across the Atlantic sinking this terra below the water.
Hap I is found on Engksnd Denmark Sweden Balkans Finland. It us a rare group referred to as Viking gene: less than 8 - 10% of world population.
A main factor is longevity and great health excepting arthritis.
Vikings were extensive travelers and yet this hap group I is mostly in northern Europe.

My last paper trail leads to s dmdll town near the Elbe River, 1736, Hollensted, Prussia. This town is very close to the Baltic. I have a DNA exact match Hrv 1 and 2 in Finland. Her family fled Russia during a period of turmoil. My my Mtdna test was thru National Geo project years ago. The Baltic today has a great deal of cross traffic and always has. I have smithery exact match who's line was in N Germany and then the Switzerland:Barbara van der Lide.
The Neolithic culture associated with this time was Gravettian. An artistic group. NOT Neanderthal! Also referred to as 'corded ware ' perhaps Hallstatt.
Not certain of this
Believe tall blond but nature always makes exceptions Nordic people were viewed as Giants

My maternal line is from Scotland back to at least the 1600s.  Appearance is brunettes, beige skin which mine is more towards ivory.  Have non descript eye colour, my dad has blue eyes and mums was brown before she had a head injury, then turned hazel and has had eye sight problems ever since.  My sister has brown eyes, older brother has green, younger brother has hazel.  Mine are a combination of blue and grey but can look green or purplely depending on the colour of the clothes I wear.  I also have gold flecks around the pupil inherited from my mum.  Can't remember grandma's eye colour, she has pasted away aged 89.  This side of the family is short, my sister and I are 5' 5 but mum is 5' 2 and grandma would have been around the same.  Pear shape is our trait as well, gain weight in the bottom half while still small on the top half.

My maternal grandparents came to the U.S. from the Austria - Hungary Empire, early 20th century.
Ethnically they were considered Slovak. The family was Catholic, but maternal grandma had been from the Bizantine Catholic Church. Grandpa and my father's family Roman Catholic.

Well since I'm 5' 8" and was 5' 10' in my youth with translucent skin, the viking thing doesn't seem like a far stretch. Only the tall fair skin come from my father's side of the family. Mom's side were shorter and darker in general.
Her side is what gave me brown eyes. Some of that side of the family almost look slightly asian or mongolian (Uncle George for sure). Since I submitted my DNA to National Geo and they knew nothing about me, except what they could derive from my DNA, it is fascinating.
