MASON of Dilton Marsh
One more time to get this right. It's early and I've only had one cup of tea. My apologies for multiple postings and messages.
I am researching my MASON maternal ancestors in Westbury and Dilton Marsh. Other surnames include SCULL, DEACON, VEAL, and SAGE.
Will be going to the Wiltshire & Swindon Archives in Chippenham during my visit. Any research tips for visiting the area would be appreciated. I have 3-4 days to spend there.

Was he still around for the 1911 census?
I will have a rental car, too, although I am apprehensive about the left-side driving. I will be with my sister who says she will not drive at all, so it's up to me. Once we get rid of the car in Bath, it's Railpass the rest of the trip.
I'll have a GPS so I hope that helps with not getting lost. I have tried to plot as much as possible on Google Maps and have all the addresses from the censuses, although I don't think there were house numbers for any of mine. Just a street. Slob Lane in Dilton Marsh, and Clivey Road in Westbury. Should be fun!
