I am new to the group. My grandmother was born in Checota, Okla. in 1899. Her Mother died from complications of the birth. I have been unable to find where my great grandmother was buried or a death certificate.
My Grandmother: Grace Alma Crow. B. 5, April, 1899
    My Great Grandmother: Bettie Wimberly Crow b. 1878 d. 5, April 1899
My Great Grandfather: William Minter Crow b. 1879 d. 1953

Any suggestions on finding Bettie? I've contacted the Historical Society and checked all the recorded graveyards.
    Thanks, Carole

Thank you Lynette! My Grandmother was born before OK was a state. It has really made it difficult. I've even emailed The Checotah Historical Society. They couldn't find anything. Wouldn't they have had to have a coroner or someone like that? So, you think OKC might have something? I'll try anything. Thanks for answering me.
