I am a descendant of Casper Byerley who immigrated to South Carolina in 1752 aboard the ship Caledonia. His son, Jasper Byerley migrated to the Blount County, Tennessee area around 1806. Two of Jasper's sons would eventually migrated to Rhea County Tennessee, which is where I am from. Would love to connect with other members of this family to share stories, photos and such.

Hi, Teresa Barley: Thank you for the comment on my page. I wasn't able to comment on your page to answer your question, so I thought that I would write on here. I wish that I could say that I was kin to Casper, but my Byerly line is on my dad's side. His name is Elmer Byerly and lives here in AR. My grandfather's name was Emery Alvin Byerly who was born in Jefferson, KY and married Minnie Ora Stone. His father was George David Byerly who married Margaret A. Conrad. His father was Jacob Byerly who married Rachel Jenkins. His parents were John Jacob Byerly from Germany and Mary Elizabeth. I'm sure that they are probably all related in some way, but not sure how. I look forward to hearing from you.
