I guess you could say I'm a mixed-blood, with several blood lines in my research. It seems that I have over 355 kings in the family tree and they are from all over Europe, some from Persia as well. That mixed with my Cherokee blood.... oh, that's why I don't drink much, mix those bloods together and add alcohol..... oh no! I may have blue-blood lines, but I'm more of a blue collar guy. As a history buff, I love this stuff!

I decend from 3 direct lineages of nobility from England and Scotland, the House of Stuart, the House of Long, and the House of Osborne. All 3 of my ancestral grandfathers from those lines came to England with William the Conqueror to accompany him at the battle of Hastings in 1066, Flaad FitzAlan, Raoul de Préaux, and Walter Fitz Osbern. Flaad's decendents became the royal Stewarts through marriage to the daughter of Robert the Bruce, Mary Queen of Scots later changing the spelling to "Stuart" whilst in France, as the French do not use the letter w. Raoul's decendents became a long line of knights, who were sheriffs and members of parliament, my 25th great grandfather Sir William de Préaux assisting Richard 1st on the 3rd crusade, and us being distant cousins with Charles III through my 15th great grandfather Sir Thomas Long of Draycot. We gained the surname Long as a nickname from old French for someone who is tall. Walter Fitz Osbern became the 1st Earl of Hertfordshire and his decendents became the Osbornes, who were Dukes, Earls, and Barons. I traced my Long side through my grandfathers going back over 1000 yrs, from vikings who came to establish the Duchy of Normandy with Rollo, my 30th great grandfather Malahulc Eysteinsson being the uncle of Rollo, to Norman knights and nobility who came to England in the Norman conquest. The farthest back the archives of the internet would allow me to go is 698AD in Oppland Norway. Here's the list:

I have remembrance from my ancestors ingrained in my DNA of what it feels like to wear a suit of armor and compete in jousting tournaments. I listen to English royal court music of the late Medieval period and early Renaissance, and can recall in my mind all the dance steps to the songs as if I've danced them before, like it's familiar, I can picture the royal court in my mind with all it's ornate art and tapestries, the throne with the coat of arms behind it, and all the Lords and Ladies dressed in their period appropriate clothing, dancing or standing around talking. As a kid I played with castle themed Legos, my favorite Disney movies were Robin Hood and The Sword in The Stone, I read world book encyclopedias and listened to baroque music. I've always felt connected to it all my life. I only gained all this knowledge of my family history over the past 4yrs. It makes since of alot of things that I've always noticed about my family. That stuff is genetic. I've heard it said that memory of things can be passed down through generations, I can testify to that. My whole family has always been very intellectual and artistic, we pay no care to superficial and trivial things, and have always felt a duty to help our fellow man, being a pillar of counsel and wisdom to our friends and acquaintances. As decendents of rulers. I've been having a difficult time tracing my Stuart side, as I've learned in my research, that many of the Stuart royal decendents fled to or were expelled to the American colonies during the English civil war, and information was lost. Even a second wave during the Jacobite rebellion in Scotland. My Stuart side of my family all look exactly like the Stuart rulers, alot of us having the distinct eyes that I see in their portraits, my sister Kelsey looks identical to Queen Anne Stuart. My daughter looks identical to Margaret Tudor, Henry VIII's elder sister who married King James IV of Scotland.
