For anyone researching the surname of Turner. Maybe together we can help find our ancestors.
Please put your area of research in the Discussion Title so we know where you need help. Let's have fun.
Attached is what I have on this family - additions/corrections appreciated. I am descended from Humphrey TURNER but I was interested in all the MA TURNERs and how they relate, if at all. Only the male lines are carried foreward. Thanks for any input, Jim.
Our Turners begin with Robert (who came to America in 1635 on the ship the Blessing) and married Elizabeth Freestone. We have documented the line from New England to NY to the midwest and then to the west coast. From there they spread out throughout the US. There are 11 boxes of materials in the NY state archives donated by a descendant who was doing genealogy research through the 1950s. Olive Trowbridge MacArthur was the GGGGgranddaughter of Habakkuk & Anne Davenport Turner.
I look forward to learning more about what you have gathered and sharing our research with you. There don't seem to be many researchers of Turners from New England.
