Hi Jan, not sure where you are at with Peter, have had some more info through Parish records that you might not have. There was a mix up with Peter's it seems early on. Our Peter ( Charles father) was born in July 1777 in Emborrow and died in June 1814 Walcombe, Wells. His parents were Peter Wilton b. 1749 Chewton Mendip, Somerset, d. 4 April 1821 Wells. who was married in 1771 Emborrow to Elizabeth Wear who died 1808 in Wells. Peter's parents were James Wilton and Abigail (dont know her maiden name). Baptism records show that Peter was babtised on October 29 1749. have found a couple of his siblings but not much more. Ok so that is my up to date Wilton tree. hope it is of some help. Not sure whether Sue's connects in anyway - might find out one day. Jon & I went to England 4 years ago and we did the Somerset trip, to the above places and the churches and cemeteries - you really need to get in touch with people before hand, as I just rocked up at the churches & cemetery and the people who could have helped me were away, etc and would be back next week etc - but I wasn't going to be there next week - so I missed out on some help which may have been useful.
