At this time I do not know where in Germany my Braun family came from. My 2nd great grandfather William Braun immigrated around 1880 to N.Y.
My 2nd great grandfather Jacob FLANDERS/FLATUA was born in Germany and immigrated ( date unknown) to London in the Aldgate area. Then he and the family came to N.Y in 1874. He was Jewish and was a tailor.
If you think there might be a connection let me know. Are you on Ancestry? If so I'll send you an invite to view my tree.
Hello, my great grandfather is William Braun as well, but of course that was a common name back in the day. I don't know what part of Germany he is from or where his wife came into the picture (Eliesa Kriehn). There are just so many Braun's!
