The Family History website 'FOOTNOTE' has FREE access in December for 'referred' searchers. Most of the data is from the USA, but even if you don't know any ancestors who emigrated, it's worth having a free look around and running a search. I knew there would be a handful of Gurds and managed to pick them all up, as far back as the US 1860 Census,You can only gain access to the site via a recommendation by me, as I subscribe to it. Let me know if you'd like me to send you the link. Dot
In reply to the will of Thomas 1563's I dont seem to have it so if you could please forward it to me I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I havent heard from Brian since the beginning of the year although I have emailed him several times he has not replied. I will try again this weekend.
I kept an eye on the group but did not see any new members. Anne
Thanks for inviting me to join the group. I am interested in anything that can help increase my knowledge of our ancestors.
If anyone has any information on the descendents of George Frederick Gurd born 1867 at Lytchett Matravers, nr Poole, Dorset I would love to hear from you. He was the son of George Gurd born 1839 and Amelia Caines. George was my great grandfather and was one of 5 children. Anne
That's good news. I didn't expect anyone to find a new cousin on the first day!! Now you both can compare notes. Dot
