kind regards Vicki Dunlop
I found them at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk . You can set up an account and search all of the registrations in Scotland as well as wills and census. Good hunting.
Found the marriage of Thomas Reid and AnnFerrier or Ferry in Dundee. They were both listed as of 61 Wilkes Lane Dundee. Ann Was born 29 Sept 1870 in Dundee, her parents were Edward Ferrier (Ferry) and Ann Ferrier nee Smith who were both born in Ireland. The Ferriers, both jute mill workers, had 4 other children in 1881 Hellen or Nelly age 19, James 8 Eliz 3 and Mary 4mo. The 1871 census shows them as Ferry ( this may be a census taker hearing the surname wrong when spoken in an Irish accent.
Thomas Reid's parents were Joseph Reid, weaver and Rachel Reid nee Nicoll he was age 20 at his marriage.
Hope this helps Betty
