I'm looking into my paternal ancestry, and am trying to track down info on my great grandmother, Marie "Edna" May LaFond, or LeFond. We know very little about her as she died in Saskatchewan during the Spanish flu pandemic on Nov. 10, 1918, when my grandfather was very young. She was born, approx. Oct. 17th 1895. She married my great grandfather, Patrick Joseph Ives, and had my grandfather, Harold Joseph Arsene Ives in Hudson Bay Junction in Northeastern Saskatchewan. We know she came from a Catholic francophone family, and believe her mother remarried a man named Talbot.
