Anyone have Baker from New York 1800's?
I am still trying to find the parents of Eli (George) Baker born abt 1830 Madison County, NY Died Sep 5 1864 in Petersburg, VA was a soldier in the Civil War, captured and killed. Bef his death he lived in CT moving there abt 1850, was married 2x, 1st wife divorced him, they had a son, he left behind a 2nd wife.

Where did you get the info on divorce? Secondly I may have found out where Jane went. It seems by 1870 she was married to an Andrew S Weeks in Ashford CT. Possibly a cousin.
