I need to find death record for Henry Dickey. He married Demarias Saunders in 1860 but died before 1870 as wife is listed as widow on census. I'd also like to know where he is buried. Family was in Pike in 1850, Montgomery in 1860 and Geneva in 1870, Dale in 1880.

My Watterson and Dickey families were in AL until about 1885 and then moved to TX. Counties were: Dale, Pike, Barbour, and Geneva. I need to find a marriage record for James Warren Watterson and Julia Dickey between 1880 and 1885. I am also looking for Henry Dickey death-burial information. He was married to Demarias Saunders about 1860. All help appreciated.

I decend from his son Robert Lauderdale born 1755 in Botetourt Co., Va and wife Sarah Lytle or Little. Thay eventualy to Tn. After Robert s death, his widow with several grown childern moved to Morgan Co, Al.  Among them my direct line of Sarah  / Sallie Lauderdale and her husband Thomas Hart/   According to my notes.... needs verifying...  Sarah Lauderdale Hart and her husband Thomas Hart moved to Coosa Co., Al.  I can check to see if any of Sarah Lauderdale s sibbling s followed to Coosa Co, or perhaps they were there already. Sarah and Thomas Hrt had a daughter who stayed in Morgan Co., .. Bartheny Hart married Nelson Ryland. Thier Rachael Ryland married Robert Abernathy. Rachael, after haveing several childern died young and I am trying to find her grave  / cemm. Robert Abernathy remarried but no bio isuse with 2 wife. Racheal and Robert s last child Myrtle Abernathy married William Coffman Oct. 22, 1899 Limestone Co, Al. They are my great  grandparents. Sorry , didnt mean to go on. If you have any names, dates, maybe we can see if we connect.

Just posting to see if anyone is searching the Henry M Funderburgh line that were in Talladega between 1835 and 1840. Henry is selling lots of land during these years and is in the 1840 census for Talladega but left for Texas after this census. He had left S. C. and passed thru Ga., Al. and Mississippi heading to Texas. Is in Texas by 1850.

Frances Ann Dornbusch, have you tried the surrounding counties? The county border could've changed, the marriage records could be in another location outside of the county OR at the state archives. Also check for wills, deeds, divorce or any events that may have altered or damaged the records, like fire. Happy hunting.

I also have access to the Texas State Archives.

Hi Brenda!
Those families sound familiar. LOL!

I had the pleasure of doing some research in Russell County. What a bonanza! I am so excited. I was able to definitively find my 2-g grandmother and her family name. There are just so many people and I have a hard time trying to decide whom to stay with.
