Hello, I have been a daily user of Ancestry for at least 8 years. The latest changes seem to be be much easier to use for data entry.
I do have some questions about using exact entry and why sometimes you spelll the entire location out and get nothing but if you use the postal abbreviation for a state you get a response.

You are right on the 14th census they my Grandmother's date of birth 1894 on the
15th census they her born in 1895 so you can't rely on the census.

Hi Barbara-
The ages listed on census records are sometimes a bit off, it depends who gave the information, also sometimes the ages on death records can be off depending on who informed the doctor. I found the information on the Italiangen website.

No that is not the same Marcella she was born in 1869 in the 1920 census she was 51 she came to America in 1882 at the age of 13 . But then again the census could be wrong i would check that out anyway . Any thing is possible.

Hi Barbara-
I found information on a death record for Marcella Farren, she died April 11, 1928, in Kings County, she was 61. If you order the deth record, it will ;robably have the cemetery where she was buried, possibly Winifred is there also?

I looked at the NYTimes archives and didn't see an obit for her. It appears Herbert died in 1964, according to the SSDI?

Do you believe she always lived in Brooklyn? You may want to see if you can find a library in Brooklyn that has old telephone books from the 40s and see if she's there?
