I finally switched to IE8 but that didn't help. I've got an HP C4440 (a pretty common printer) with the latest drivers. I'm ready to scream. Of course, their support line closes at 6pm.

Ancestry was down for maintenance last night and today I can't print any images. I'm using IE7 and have tried all of their suggestions, but nothing works. Nor can I save the image to my hard drive. I sent tech support an email.

@Gene
Thanks for the info. I tried this but, it still saves image to some place on my laptop that I can't find. Maybe I am doing something wrong, or maybe I will have to call them. Thanks again.

Today Ancestry.com was down for a while. Could not access any trees. A friend lost data and family connections in his tree.

Just a reminder to backup your data and download a Gedcom as a precaution.

Hello, Ancestry Users. Today I received via email & completed a Survey from Ancestry.com seeking input on New Collections they're considering. NB: The email with the link to take the survey arrived in my SPAM folder. If you haven't seen this Ancestry Survey yet, check your email Spam file. Thanks.

Thanks to Gene, and all others that responded. It appears that Vista was the problem here. I saved the image on the desktop (which is running XP) with no problem. I was then able to access it on my laptop from the file on the desktop. Now I can continue with my project.
Thanks again.

I am running XP and I have not had a problem at all with photos

Gene,
I think that is the problem; I am also running Vista. You're right, after trying several time it did ask if I wanted to replace an existing image. But, it still is not showing up. This is sooooo frustrating. Now that I know it may be a Vista issue, maybe I can try saving it on my brother's computer which is running XP, and then access it from my laptop.

Thanks for the info. It did help.

I just tried saving an image and it worked fine, although it is now saving as png file.Try right clicking on the image and then save as. Have you tried all the usual remedies, reboot etc.?
