hi Sandra-
What was his name on his death certificate? Do you have other records for him?

I have been doing my family tree and I'm stuck at my great grandfather. He came over from Italy. I do have his death certificate and on it says parents unknown. Don't know how to find out when he came here or other information. Also his last name was changed when he got here.

No, sadly, I don't have his parents or their address. The address was his at the time of marriage. I have his father's name and occupation, I don't know where they were born and so far I have failed to find his father, his birth/baptism or where they came from. I have been searching since the early 1970s. As I said, I will be grateful for ideas.

Carol what exactly is the problem and what are you looking for. You have his parents and an address so where are you wanting to go from here.

I have a brick wall, my great great great great grandmother married Cornelius Vanderbeck in Monroe Co, NY. Her name was Susan Carter, she died in 1858, Cornelius remarried and named one of his childred Susan. I am looking for any information on Susan Carter and her mother and father.

My main brick wall is James Heyes, bc 1824, England, died 1904, Launceston, Tasmania. Father's name Charles Heyes, father's occupation Tile Maker. James was married 1854, Gordon Square, St Pancras, London, to Mary Gould Appleby, his occupation was given as Mechanic on marriage certificate. James and Mary emigrated to Tasmania and their first child, Charles William Heyes, was born 5 Sept 1855 at Exton, Tasmania.
James' address on his marriage certificate is given as Grafton Street East.
I will be grateful for any ideas.
