Burr is my married name. My husband's ancestors--Samuel Burr and his wife Sarah Bridgens and their infant son William Burr-- left London England in 1833, travelling to Ontario Canada. Upon arrival their daughter Sarah Ann Burr was born. The family eventually settled on Scugog Island in Durham Cty. Ontario. After about 20 years the family moved to Lambton County Ontario, where descendants still live today. Samuel and Sarah and daughter Sarah Ann and her husband Robert Crozier still had itchy feet and moved to Henderson NC in 1874. William Burr and his wife Frances Alldred and their family remained in Lambton County. We have never been able to trace Samuel although we do have some information about his wife Sarah Bridgens.
