Randall Stackhouse:
Here is a census image from the 1881 Census of Canada, New Brunswick, Queens County, Waterborough. Lines 10 & 11, is this your Samuel and Mary?

Looking on Collections Canada for 1851 census for Waterborough has the following comment; "The manuscript census returns for this sub-district/division no longer exist." There is a microfilm reel number though.

Does anyone have any Nixons from Co. Fermanagh, N. Ireland, circa 1800 to Canada? Especially near the Co. Caven line such as McGuiresbridge? Especially lawyers. Jim, Southport, N.C.

My Armstrong (from Scotland) and Foote (Scots-Irish, I think) families came to the Dumfries area of Nova Scotia. After several generations, they emigrated to the U.S., eventually settling in Minnesota, living in the area of Willmar and Kandiyohi. While some came west to Washington State, others stayed in Minnesota. If you have similar connections, maybe we are related!

Hi John BELCHAMBER;
I did a search for your surname on Canada411 for your living relatives. Here are my findings;
BELCHAMBERS = (finds many variants) 47 listings in all of Canada.
Perhaps you could do a letter writing campaign. There are sites that you can use to translate to French for those folks who live in Québec and then you could send a bilingual letter, just in case.
Some free translation sites are;
Free Translation
Systransoft
Google Translate
BabelFish
I hope this helps.

Hello
This is my first time posting to the group,my name is John Belchamber from the UK.As you can see my research interest is in the Bel(l)chamber(s) surname.
I have recently discovered that a William Henry Belchamber had settled in Quebec and had married there in 1906 to a Marie Therrien daughter of Louis Henri Therrien and Edwidge Chausse.
William and Marie had five children of only two seem to have survived into adulthood,they are

ii. On April 24, 1928 Louis Belchamber son of William and Marie THERRIEN
married Germaine LATOUR, daughter of Alexis LATOUR and Charlotte LAPIERRE.

and Cecile Blanche Clara Belchamber was born on 26 Jul 1913 in St.Jean Sur Richelieu,Quebec.
Cecile had a child: father unknown, Joseph Gaetan Belchamber, b 14 Apr
1935, bp same day: Montréal Aide à la Femme 1935

Marie Belchamber nee Therrien must have died

William Henry married again in 1918 to
Marie Alice Marguerite Guillet daughter of Philias Guillette and Alphonsine Rheaume.
Do any of these people ring any bells with anyone?
