I thought I would open this discussion with some of my favorite Ohio related websites. Some of them will not be specifically Ohio sites, but will have some great information for those who are researching in Ohio. The first is Family Search record search pilot. They have digitized images for Ohio death records 1908-1953. Family Search Record Search Pilot

The next site is a must for Ohio researchers. Heritage Pursuit What makes it so great is the many, many Ohio county histories that are available to search through. I have found many biographies that have given me clues to follow up on.

If you have never tried Google Book Search, it is also a great way to find county histories or surname related books.

I am also including some websites for specific counties.
Morrow County
Delaware County
Knox County
Marion County
Logan County
Union County
Franklin County

I know there are alot more great links out there. Please post your favorites. Happy hunting!

My Wiley ancestors came to Piqua in 1812. My Evans ancestors came about 1845 to Cincinnati and Columbus about 1910. The Steubes came in 1855-1859 to Columbus. The Backus' moved to Hocking County about 1860.
This is a good research site for the counties in the Miami River Valley. It has Miami County court records and a master index where you can input names. http://tdn-net.com/genealogy/miamico.htm
