Haven't been on here for ages but want to thank Valerie Everson for finding out about Ayresome Gardens. That is shocking but happens, I'm afraid. Valerie, would you by chance know if there are any stones in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Middlesbrough. I am looking for Francis May Peacock, Grave 292 J -Ormesby Road, which is off Longlands Road in North Ormesby. I would dearly love to have a pic of her grave if there is a stone. The cemetery adjoins the Middlesbrough (North Ormsby) Cemetery.
Thank you. Dawn

What a fantastic website. I have found at least 4 graves of some of my relatives that were in the civil war. It was great finding them!

First of all I love the Find-a-Grave website. I have made memorials to all my past ancestors that I have found and relatives that have passed on . I have even posted photos of them if I can. Second because I have done this, I have found another cousin! She was thrilled to see that I had made memorials of her family too! My great grandfather's sister is her great grandmother! She didn't know about that side of her family. I have communicated with her on the phone and she has provided me with names to fill in the gaps and I provided names to her to fill in the gaps.

Hi David;
You need to choose the cemetery first and then click on "Add a name to this cemetery" and then you fill in all the particulars.

Hey David, I have had similar problems with the FAG site - it is not perfect. Early one morning I was adding some stuff and the whole site went down. Either a hiccup or the server went into back up mode. Ten minutes later all was fine again. I migrate to the cemetery first and then click on 'Add'. That works for US cemeteries. It might not be that easy for Canadian cemeteries.

What am I doing wrong?? I saw an option on the findagrave website to add individuals. The cemetry is listed (Avondale, Stratford Ontario Canada). I input the vitals and choose the cemetry - and then I'm prompted to input the vitals (again) and I lose my original input.

Maximum file size is 250kb. Maximum dimensional size is 800x800 pixels. Most of mine end up 800x400. As mentioned, I never alter the original photo. I use PaintShopPro on the PC to straighten, crop, resize, and save using the JPG optimizer [in that order]. When resizing, I always take the longest dimension [vertical or horizontal] and reduce it to the max that FAG allows, 800, while keeping the aspect ratio for the other dimension.
