Many people know about using regular Google Search for genealogy, for example to find family trees posted online or genealogy resources. Playing around with some of my own ancestors' names in Google -- and finding information! -- launched me into family history research.
Less well known, however, is how to use a
Google Books search, especially when researching early ancestors in New England. Google has digitized a wide array of family history books and some are available in full text format. When researching my Bradley ancestors in Litchfield, Connecticut, I found many helpful books via Googe Books including a genealogical register and cemetery transcriptions. Invaluble!
