greetings ... i would like to know if there is any software that would allow one to design and execute a mini-genealogical tree on powerpoint ... doing screenshots does not give the scale or clarity that one would like to achieve in a presentation format ... any suggestions?   thanks

I've just upgraded to Reunion 10.1 and boy it looks good. Very excited by the new features!

Software that works on a Macintosh will not work on an iPod, iPhone, or iPad (all iOS devices) as is. These devices use a different operating system than the Mac and  so software for one can not work on the other, just as Windows software can not (natively) work on a Mac. However, if the software provider rewrites a piece of software that currently runs a mac (say Safari), so that it also works on an iOS device, then you will have it working there. However, also they two apps may both be named Safari, they are indeed different applications.

Hope this helps and isn't too technical.

I use PAW 99 on my Apple Mac G5, does anyone know if PAW will work on a iPod?

Just bought the new Ancestry for mac software.  Was expensive but I got free months, so I guess it is worth it.  I have enjoyed using it though.

Nina - I just know that working on my Mac is a joy - faster and much less burdensome than my Windows PC.  I've been working with Macs for years, though.  I'm still dithering on what genealogy software to get, so I can't help you there.  I've seen so many good opinions pro and con for different programs.  I'm too much of a perfectionist, I guess, LOL.
