Elizabeth Daniell (Of many spellings) born a 1794 NC died before the 1850 Census-as did her husband Turner Scarborough 1812 Soldier-in Lee Co Ga. They were married in Emanuel-about 1809.
Elizabeth was the child of Rev.William Daniell born 1767 Brunswick Co Va died 1831 Emanuel Co Ga.
William was actually born in New Hanover Co-now Bruns. His Father moved the Family to SC, and then in 1771 to Wilkes
Co Ga. During the war, he and his Mother and siblings were sent to live with Uncle George Daniell in Chatham Co NC.
After the War they moved to Greene Co Ga and had land on the Oconee River and Beaverdam Creek.
Less than 2 years after General George Washington-anaugurated-President, citizens of Greene
met in Greensboro for celebration. Ezekiel E Park, Wm Daniell, Benj. FitzPatrick-all county officers or
doing military duty along the Oconee and protecting the early settlers against Indian raids.
By 1812 he was preaching in Washington Co Ga at Darian Bap. Church, and by 1820 in Emanuel. He married Elizabeth Davis and had at least 6 children.
