Meriwether County Georgia was founded in 1827 from Troup Co Ga.
Jesse Roberts- b a 1775-had been over in Columbia with his family. He married there 1805 Mary Fitzgerald dtr of John & Nancy Ann Green. All of his 11 known children-were born there.
All but three were still single when the move was made.
Wiley Asbury born 1806- married Elizabeth Sherman Shipp 1825 Columbia-to Al, Fl.
Irby born 1806 married Mary Ann Fuller 1833 Columbia
probable son Thomas W 1815- married Lydia-and I am sure I am missing several here.
Mildred b a 1816- married Abraham Rittenhouse Morris as his 2nd wife-in Columbia 1835 to La.
Augustus R-apparently left home before marriage- b a 1818? married 1844 Richmond Co-next door-
Louise M Williams
Ignatious Few (Named for famous Rev Sol in Columbia) Moved to Al-where Wiley later was and married 1846 Perry Co Al. The rest married in Meriwether. (Ran out of room!) Ms Gerry Hill

Iggy-migtated on to Tx. and married again there.
George E (Eaton?) B B-mine- born 1820 Columbia married 1844 Mary Virginia Caroline Cannon born 1826 Greene who was
the child of Joshua Cannon & Elizabeth Williamson Harris (More later)
John F (Fitzgerald?) born 1822 Columbia married Mary Magdalene Roberts who was the widow of Haynes Stith Ryan in
Greene Co Ga. They married 1842 Meriwether. She was the child of Isaac Roberts & Jane Glenn Musgrove. (One other of
their children married into this family, and Old Rittenhouse Morris married again, one of Isaac's dtrs)
William F (Few?) (William Few, brother of Iggy-was also famous in the Rev and in Columbia) b a 1823 married 1844 Meri.
Eliza Cordelia Cannon-sister of MCV and one more married into this Family (Have Cannon Bible)
Matilda Mary born 1827 married William Thornton 1844 Meri.
Several of these-migrated with the Father and his second wife-to Ocalla, Mariana, Fl. Ms. Gerry Hill -
