A Friend of Friends is a new website dedicated to the restoration and preservation of slave documents and artifacts. It is a repository where documents donated and shared by descendants of slave owners, and other holders of slave-related documents, can be shared with their fellow African American researchers and family historian.
Our first featured collection, the Hammond-Davies Bible records, is an incredible genealogical resource of slave births, deaths, and marriages for slaves on the Hammond-Davies plantations in SC, GA (Burke, Co) and MS covering the years 1830-1865.
We invite you to checkout A Friend of Friends and the Hammond-Davies collection at www.afriendoffriends.com.
