My great grandmother Bridget Agnes Bourke ( Agnes Wascher ) came here in 1914 according to the 1930 US Census from Ireland after her mother Ann had died. Her mother Ann Kilgallon had married her father Patrick Bourke we believe in 1890 at Church of Immaculate Conception and St Joseph in Ireland. I did find a St Joseph Cemetery there that i am led to believe is part of the church but so far the burial listings I came across are not complete. The family was Catholic. Bridget was the only girl and the youngest. Her brothers were Walter, John, Patrick, Thomas, Michael and James. They came from Bohola, Mayo County, Ireland from what we have been told. Walter later was married to a Mary and they lived around Bohola and had a son Walter. ( we found a picture of him ) John we dont know if he got married but he moved to Cheshire England. One of her brothers was killed by a group of uprisers walking back from town on the side of the road. we dont know when though or which one. Bridget was born Feb 3rd or 5th 1897. She said she could never remember which day.She died in May 20 1953 in Freeport, New York. Her mother Ann had a brother Thomas Kilgallon who came to America but we dont know when. He lived in NY. I am looking for any information on the Bourkes or Kilgallons.
